Word Wednesday
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” -Romans 12:21 (NIV)
Let’s admit it, this world is on an emotional roller coaster ride. Evil spirits such as anger, hate and manipulation are ever present, causing great confusion and discord. Unfortunately, there are people who have embraced the lifestyle of doing as they please for carnal gain; mistreat God’s people in the process. We, as Christians living in this world, must stay focused on God and His word. I encourage you to strive to exercise goodness towards everyone, even when it’s not given in return. When we fail at it, ask for forgiveness from a pure place and keep working it. With God’s help, it will get easier. There are people who see the act of goodness as weakness but God sees it as great strength and faith in Him; this pleases him. Continue to work at doing good and watch Him work things out in your favor. Be blessed!
