Word Wednesday
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age” - Titus 2:11-12 (NIV)
God’s grace and mercy covers all. God’s plans for all people is that we live our lives free of sin. Because we are human and born in sin, He gives us all a measure of grace and mercy. However, this, in no way gives us permission to live reckless ungodly lifestyles. There is accountability for our lives. The world may tell you otherwise, which is a lie from the pit of Hell. Satan want you to believe you can do and live however you please because it is your life and your body. I encourage you not to fall into the trap of the enemy by adopting this way of thinking. Your body and your life belongs to God! God gave you the power to say “No” to the temptations of this world. Anything that is keeping you from thinking, living and doing what is true and right, you must rebuke in the name of Jesus. Exercise self-control by seeking God first in all things.
