16. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- 17. the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17 (NKJV)

There is no doubting Jesus Christ loves us. Not only did he willing come down from heaven to die for OUR sins (in such a brutal way), he knew we’d be lost on earth without him. Therefore, he asked our Father to send His Holy Spirit to live in us, to guide and comfort us on our journey. The Holy Spirit keeps us connected and obedient to God’s word and perfect will for our lives. Many Christians are existing without the Holy Spirit, going about life aimlessly and without conviction...worldly. We cannot afford to live without it; thus, Jesus’ prayer to the Father.

Just as you need a license to legally drive, you need the Holy Spirit to walk out your journey on earth. If you have not invited the Holy Spirit to dwell in, guide and comfort you, I strongly encourage you to do so; however, obedience to the Holy Spirit is critical. It is your spiritual blanket when you’re cold and the navigation system when you can’t find your way. There is love, peace and protection in allowing the Holy Spirit to have his way in your life. Ask Father for it and it’s yours. It will change your life!

Be blessed!
