"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." -Ephesians 2:4-6 (NKJV)
Have you ever felt like it was the end you had done things your way for so long that you didn’t think God wanted to hear from you anymore. You ignored His word, didn’t complete your assignments given to you, and totally tuned out the Holy Spirt to the point you didn’t even hear a soft whisper from it anymore. It’s during these times we are usually looking and wishing for a second chance. A chance to do things differently and to get it right this time around. The Bible teaches us that our God is a God of second chances. All we have to do is call on His name, cry out to Him. Do you remember the story of Jonah and the Whale. Jonah thought that he was going to die in the belly of the fish, but he cried out to the Lord and God heard him. God spared his life and delivered him from the belly of the fish. He was given a second chance to live and to carry out his assignment. Today I encourage you to seek God at all times even when you’ve gotten to a place where you feel all hope is gone. Fall to your knees and cry out to the Lord. Acknowledged Him for the God he is, repent, and thank Him for being a merciful God and watch what He does in your life!
