Word Wednesday

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

With each day God allows us to experience, we will face trials or situations that will have us seek Him for comfort. When we seek God, in all things, He will comfort you through the Holy Spirit. As I share this with you today, I envision myself wrapped in a warm blanket, which is the Holy Spirit, on a cold day. God will protect and comfort us from things that come to distract us from His word and promises for our lives. These distractions could be as small as sitting in rush hour traffic or as big as major health issues. Our Father’s desire is that we comfort others in need with the same comfort given to us.

I encourage you to pray asking God for instructions on how to comfort those in need. Share appropriate testimonies as to how God moved in your life; an encouraging testimony always bring comfort. Also, always be eager to share your “blanket of comfort” (Holy Spirit) experiences with others, while praying they seek God for their own.

Have a blessed day!
