Word Wednesday
“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” -Psalm 37:7 (NIV)
God has promised all of us things that we are excited about. While we know His word is true, we expect His promises to manifest in our time. God’s timing is not our timing. We tend to anxiously wait for His promises, God wants us to PATIENTLY wait for Him. We often get so caught up in the world and what we want, we try to “help” God promises manifest quicker by moving too soon; this is not His will. NEWS FLASH...God does not need our help!
I encourage you, as I do myself, to focus on God’s word and His promises and not be easily distracted by people who choose to live outside of God our Heavenly Father. Many people say they know God but their actions and words don’t resemble the Word of God; yet, they “appear” to be prospering in the very same areas you’re expecting God promises to manifest; they’re paying a heavy price. Stay focused and constantly pray, because this also a trick of enemy to distract from God. God’s promises are bigger than we could ever imagine...wait for them!
